Alaskana/Iditarod

Dog drop is behind me in this photo.
The kind volunteers (in very warm gear) take an injured or tired dog, individually, in their laps, ride the COLD toboggan ride to the airstrip and load the dogs for their rides home.

Best part of my gear was my knee high OR boots (can't see in photo) from the sale bin at REI.
